George Washington

George Washington was an amazing person.  He had many jobs and was very unique personality. What makes him amazing is his service as president and being General of the Armies or a six star general. George Washington is the most influential person in history.

George Washington was many things before his presidency. When he was 16 and still young he was the surveyor of Culpeper, Fredrick and Augusta Counties which is currently located in Virginia. After his father and half brother died he was in charge of Mount Vernon and became a farmer and a land owner. After the death of his half brother he was enrolled in the military and tried to join the British army several times but all were rejected. He was pulled out several times due to illness but he rejoined every time. After achieving the rank of Brigadier General he resigned from serving and continue his work on Mount Vernon and married Martha Dandridge. He and his wife had two children and adopted two of his stepchildren’s children who both died before or during the Revolutionary War

George Washington was a very ambitious and dedicated man. All he wanted to do in life was be a farmer but when duty called he stepped to the challenge but right after his goes straight back to being a farmer. He didn’t want to shape history at all actually.

George Washington is greatly known for his service in the Revolutionary War. He was appointed by congress at the time to do three important jobs. One was he had to train the colonists to be soldiers. The most important job was being a symbol of the revolution itself. He stood as a figure that kept the patriots on track to achieving the ultimate goal of independence. His final job was his position as a general. He fought against the British forces head on and never surrendered his men during a battle. He may have retreated or won but he never gave in to the enemy.
George Washington was a great person. I don’t know what our country would be like be like if never did what he did. He inspired and influenced decisions that impacted history greatly just by the actions he preformed themselves. There is no person that I know of that shaped history like George Washington did.
